WHO WE ARE

We are a proud, progressive, and growing part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), and its local bodies, the Presbytery of San Jose (covering Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey counties) and the Synod of the Pacific (covering California, Nevada, Oregon, and portions of Idaho and Washington).

Rooted in Our Community

Since 1947, Stone Church has been a landmark on Lincoln Avenue, just blocks away from Downtown Willow Glen and Willow Glen Middle and High School.

We engage with a variety of community ministries and organizations, including Willow Glen Cares and People Acting In Community Together, to support the diverse and growing community that surrounds our church

Looking to the Future

Stone continues to look for where God will lead us in the future, and works to break down barriers in the world, and is constantly exploring new ideas about where God may be leading us in all our ministries—worship, education, music.

We celebrate the more than 75 years we have already been in the community, and we want to continue to be in and active in the community for the next 75 years.

Open to All

Everyone is welcome to join our community for worship, music and fellowship.

Within our community you will find:

  • Curiosity, doubt, inquiring minds and souls, intellectual and spiritual challenges, reverence, humor, humility, enthusiasm, service.
  • Music that ranges from the classics to spirituals accompanied by organ, piano, flute, brass, harp or guitar.
  • Programs for infants to high schoolers, for families young and old within our congregation and in the larger world, and for adults with and without children!
  • Members who embrace a diversity of races, gender identities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses.
