SAFE CHURCH PRACTICES

At Stone Church, the safety and well-being of our children and youth are paramount. We are proud to participate in the Safe Church program of San Jose Presbytery, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to protecting minors from abuse and sexual misconduct.

Our Comprehensive Approach

All paid staff, Ruling Elders, Deacons, and volunteers who work with youth and children undergo Safe Church training. This equips them to:

  • Recognize signs of abuse and misconduct
  • Respond appropriately to concerns or disclosures
  • Report incidents following proper protocols.

Safe Church Principles

We operate according to Safe Church Principles:

  • Understanding the best practices for maintaining a safe environment.
  • Implementing and strictly adhering to clear guidelines for interactions between adults and minorings.
  • Fostering an environment where concerns can be safely expressed and addressed.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating our Safe Church practices to ensure the highest standards of child protection.
  • Working closely with local authorities and child protection agencies to stay informed about best practices and legal requirements
