Worship Service with Guest Pastor Rev. Sara Tillema

Rev. Sara Tillema will preach for us on Feb. 8 & 15, 2026, while Rev. Fred Harrell is away.

Sara (she/her) serves as the Sr. Director of Next Gen Re-sources at Ministry Leadership Center and is a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA).  She and her family, Aron and Ace, relocated to San Jose last summer. Previously she was at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center as the Director of Programs (2021-2025).  She received her M. Div from Princeton Theological Seminary and is completing her Ph.D. in Religious Studies at the University of California, Davis (expected 2026).

She and her family are grateful for the warm welcome from the Stone Church community these past few months.

Sermon Theme:

After finishing the Beatitudes, Jesus continues the Sermon on the Mount by declaring to his listeners, “You are the salt of the world.” This Sunday, let us reflect on salt and how it can inspire us to live faithfully in times such as these.
