Adult Ed: The League of Women Voters

Mark your calendar for the Adult Ed class on May 10, featuring a special presentation from the League of Women Voters of San Jose/Santa Clara. At a time when confidence in elections is being tested, they’ll share how they are working to protect and strengthen our democratic process.

Our guest speaker, Gloria Chun Hoo—former member of the California State Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters and past president of the local San Jose/Santa Clara chapter—will offer insight into the upcoming June primary elections, what’s at stake, and a detailed overview of Measure D, the citizen-led initiative appearing on the June 2 ballot.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization with a long-standing commitment to empowering voters and safeguarding democracy. While it does not support political parties or candidates, it actively engages in public policy advocacy and civic education.
