Do you have an interest in running cameras? Are you comfortable running Zoom? We are looking for reliable individuals to coordinate the livestreaming of our Sunday worship services via Zoom. This important role helps connect our remote congregation members to our services, ensuring an inclusive worship experience for all.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage Zoom meetings for Sunday services
- Monitor the livestream throughout the service for quality and connectivity
- Manage participant settings, including muting/unmuting when appropriate
- Occasionally handle screen sharing for videos, hymn lyrics, announcements, and other visual elements
- Admit virtual attendees from the waiting room
- Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
- Coordinate with the in-person worship team and sound technicia
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with or willing to learn about hosting and managing Zoom meetings
- Comfortable with Zoom features including screen sharing, breakout rooms, and host controls
- Basic troubleshooting skills for common virtual meeting issues
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Commitment to Sunday morning availability
- Patience and good communication skills
Time Commitment:
- Sunday mornings (typically 8:45 AM – 11:00 AM)
- Occasional special services (Memorials, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, etc.)
Compensation:
A $50 stipend will be provided per service in appreciation of your time and expertise.
